Small by choice
One or two projects at a time. No account managers, no hand-offs, no explaining your business twice.
§ Studio
A small studio in Eindhoven.
8bitstudio is a web design studio working out of Eindhoven — the city the map at the top drops you into. Small on purpose: the person you meet on the first call is the person who builds the thing.
The name is a joke about constraints. Eight bits gets you 256 values, and that turns out to be plenty if you choose them carefully. Most websites fail from too much, not too little — too many fonts, too many pages, too many plugins holding hands. We work the other way around: decide what matters, cut the rest, then make what's left fast.
Built to hand over
You own the code, the domain, the accounts. If you ever leave, you leave with everything — that's the point.
Fast, measured
Every site ships with a performance budget and gets checked against it. If it's slow, it isn't finished.
